Hello!

Now, I know this update is very late. Almost a November '09 update. No, it's not. And I'm sorry for having posted this one so late. I was busy. And, this may happen again in the future. So, bear with me. This is university life in a basic nutshell. Screwed up schedules and lots of work. And, I fell sick again. That's twice in one theoretical month. Sucks, I know.

So...October update. It has been a long and tiring month. The first week or so of October was kind of slow paced and dull. However, it was a significant time in my life, because this was the beginning of a whole new era. University had just started a couple of weeks back, and the college course work had given us a brief glimpse of its might. I'll start by telling you about my degree. I am doing Mechanical Engineering with Control. I'm sure most of you know what Mechanical Eng. Is. What you probably don't know is what Control is. Well, its a theory that was defined in the 20th century. [link] & [link] And, it deals with high tech stuff like space ship launches, missiles and more of the sort. It is very interesting, and I think they are going to be teaching us about neural networks (artificial intelligence) as well. Anyways, the course...Mech. Eng. will be 4-5 years long. I will get the basic Bachelor of Eng. degree at the end of four years. There's a catch though: if I manage to maintain an average of 80% at the end of the first two years, I will be allowed to do Master of Eng. at an honors pace. That means I save a year, which is kinda cool. Powerful stuff. So, yeah...most of my October went studying, figuring out the University system, etc.
A lot of my time also went at parties and making new friends. There's one party that I do want to mention however. Halloween night. So, some friends came up with something. The plan was, we would get drunk, and then go Trick-o-Treating. With scary masks on. In girls' pajamas. In the bad area of the city (well, one of it...anyway). HAHAHA! Yeah. The most embarrassing part of the plan was buying the pj’s themselves! There was a queue at the cash counter! So, anyways, 31st of October dawned, and we did exactly as planned. And, I'm sorry to tell you this, but I can't remember much of that evening till about midnight, when I woke up in a bar near the university with some friends, doing shots. lol And so, I have decided to make some amends in my life. The first one being, not getting drunk...ever. And, it is an actual resolution. I shall stick to it. Yeah.
